My love of travel has taken me on numerous trips around the globe. From unforgettable African safaris and dazzling Caribbean beaches to historical city breaks and the endless skies of the Australian outback, I've discovered that the best adventures aren't just about the destinations. Every place has a story to tell.

Today, I love using my experience to craft unique journeys for others - whether that's planning someone's first adventure abroad or designing a once-in-a-lifetime luxury escape. I believe travel should be as unique as you are.

Q. When did you start working in the travel industry?
A. 2002

Q. Why did you start working in travel / what brought you to the industry?
A. After wrapping up my International Business degree, I set off backpacking around the world - back when payphones and postcards were the only way to keep in touch! By the time I returned, I knew travel was the only career for me.

I started working for an Australian/New Zealand specialist operator and then spent four years living in Australia and working for a large travel agency before returning to the UK and working for a youth adventure travel company. After that, I moved to the other end of the spectrum, working for an ultra-luxury operator and was lucky enough to experience some of the best hotels in the world.

Q. What’s your favourite aspect of your job?
A. It's the detective work that I love - piecing together someone's perfect trip. Creating bespoke itineraries is like solving a wonderful puzzle. It might be helping a honeymooning couple find that perfect private island hideaway, working with a family to create their first big adventure together, or crafting a journey that lets someone retrace their ancestors' footsteps.

The joy comes from really understanding what makes each person tick.

Q. What quality (or qualities) are most valuable in a travel agent?
A. I've learned that great travel planning is all about the little details. You've got to really get under the skin of what your clients want - sometimes, what they don't say is just as important as what they do say.

Q. Best piece of advice / top travel tip?
A. Leave room in your itinerary for magic to happen. Some of the best moments in life are the unplanned ones. But on a more practical note, download the area you're staying in on Google Maps before you go so you can access it offline from wherever you are.

A. Bristol is my home and has so much to offer, but I am starting to discover hidden corners of the Cotswolds, Pembrokeshire and Cornwall, that remind me of the beauty right here all around us in the UK.
