Zoe cruises the Danube with Crystal

Crystal river cruising is the ultimate in luxury where ‘All Inclusive is All Exclusive’.

Zoe was lucky enough to spend three nights on board the Crystal Ravel, travelling from Nuremburg to Linz along the serene Danube River. Here’s her account.

As I boarded the Ravel, I was immediately offered refreshments from the Bistro Bar whilst my bags were delivered to my suite.  I very quickly felt right at home – despite the high-class service, it’s not stuffy but rather lovely and relaxed yet super-efficient with every base covered. I was excited for what the next few days held! But first, to this incredible vessel.

All suites offer panoramic balcony-windows with walk in wardrobe and butler service if required.

The top deck was one of my favourite places to relax. Adorned with sunbeds and spacious seating areas, this was the perfect venue for a glass of wine or latte with a good book. People gathered at the Vista bar, which offered expansive views wherever we stopped.

The pool is quite an addition, but I have to admit I didn’t venture in! Still, those who did clearly enjoyed the wonderful views from water-level and the pools full glass door opens to the rear.

Throughout the voyage, we were offered a range of tours at each destination to suit all guests. My favourites were:

> City walking tour of Regensburg including sausage tasting!
> E-Biking along the Danube
> Full day adventure to Salzburg or the Czech Republic

Linz was my final stop with plenty of time to visit the town at a leisurely pace before my onward journey to the airport. Of course, you can choose one of the many full or half day tours offered.

From the moment I stepped on-board, the Crystal staff were just marvellous – not only are they extremely friendly, but nothing is too much trouble for them. They make everything possible and like you really belong.

With something to suit all ages, Crystal Ravel really does have the Exclusive appeal.
