Family ski holiday to Austria

After our discussions, we're settled on the resort of Mayrhofen for your family holiday. This beautiful Austrian town has incredible slopes  for skiing and snowboarding to suit the whole family, but it has so much more. We've chosen the Sporthotel Strass - a child friendly hotel with an indoor pool, whirlpool and various saunas and steam rooms. It is centrally located, close too all amentities, and just 150m from the Penken gondola - your main lift out of the town to the slopes. You can even ski to your hotel door.

We have included all breakfasts and dinners throughout the week. Breakfast will comprise a hot and cold buffet breakfast and the four-course evening meal will have three choices of main dish including vegetarian options plus salad buffet.

Day 1

We have arranged for a driver to collect you from home and take you to Bristol in plenty of time to check in for your flight to Innsbruck. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Mayrhofen - a journey of about one hour. We have arranged for interconnecting rooms at the Sporthotel Strass and after check in you will have time to organise the equipment hire for the family. We have pre-booked skis and boots for all four of you and the children get theirs free as part of the deal, so they'll be ready to collect on arrival.

Days 2 - 6

Enjoy your daily ski and snowboarding activities making use of the lift passes on the 7 Gondolas, 2 Cable cars and 17 Chairlifts, all in the immediate area. Easily accessible from the town are 40km of blue runs, 63km of red and 33km black plus a further 167km blue, 263km red and 78km black in the extended valleys (which your lift pass can access). There are 32 restaurants to enjoy a welcome break for lunch.

After a days skiing, relax with the children in the hotel pool before dinner and enjoy some evening entertainment in the many bars, pubs and ice bar in town.

As I have mentioned previously, Mayrhofen offers much more than just skiing, so don't forgot try ice skating, horse drawn sleigh, tobogganing, bowling, or take the family on an excursion down the valley to Jenbach.

Day 7

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, but I hope that you've had an incredible week. Your driver will take you back to Innsbruck after breakfast for your flight to Bristol.
