Silk Road Event - 24th March - CANCELLED

We regret to inform that we've decided to cancel our Silk Road and Sri Lanka events on the 24th March and 8th April respectively.

With all the uncertainty around coronavirus and the current guidance to refrain from gatherings where possible, we feel it prudent to cancel these events which we hope to reschedule once the current climate calms.

We're delighted to welcome David McGuinness, founder of tour operator Travel The Unknown, to C The World to talk all about one of history's most iconic routes: The Silk Road.

Where East met West for the very first time, the vast Silk Road encompasses some of the world's great cultures and classic cities with names that resonate across time - from Xi'an, where Silk was discovered, through Kashgar, Samarkand, Bukhara, Isfahan and finally into Istanbul where this route arrived into Europe. As well as Silk, a wide array of produce flowed in both directions as well as ideas, religions and ways of life. Today this route comprises a fascinating array of countries, languages, and faces, and is full of stories, both old and new.

David will be hosting talks at each of our three offices in Bath, Bristol and South Gloucestershire. Due to limied space at each venue, reserving your space is necessary.
