Japan
Ancient traditions meets ultra modern
Ancient traditions meets ultra modern
Bright lights, beautiful gardens, bonsai trees, charming people, sushi, sumo, green tea, bullet trains, robots, electronics, Manga and Anime, Ninjas, Samurais, Geisha…all a mere few of the unique images that are conjured up when you think of Japan.
We recently created this holiday to Japan - check it out.
With exciting cities such as Tokyo and Kyoto and both traditional and modern regions in terms of architecture, entertainment and the people, Japan has unmatched cities.
Japan’s rich history has resulted in numerous castles, museums and temples throughout the country. Hiroshima and the Peace Park is particularly memorable - the city itself having been rebuilt is young and vibrant but you can’t escape the history and nor should you.
Travelling around by train couldn’t be more comfortable or easy. With signage in English and Japanese, you soon become accustomed to the simple, efficient systems.
There are distinct seasons within Japan and this can dictate when to go, depending on your wishes. The summer can be hot, humid and rainy. However, it is a great time for festivals and hitting the sub-tropical beach islands. Autumn and spring are popular with reliable weather and March/April is perfect for the spring blossom. Winters can be cold particularly in the north but it’s worth remembering that Japan is a fantastic winter sports destination with superb resorts.
We recommend a minimum of 2 weeks is needed to explore Japan. It is a great destination for families, theme parks, Universal studios as well as the magical anime characters. Hello Kitty will be everywhere along with robots, cat cafes, ice cream and how about a sword fighting experience?
Currently our most up-and-coming destination, we receive nothing but superb feedback from all Japanese holidays. What are you waiting for?
